Interior Minister: Independence will create good conditions for all

Kosovo Interior Affairs Minister Zenun Pajaziti held a meeting in at the Media Centre in Cagllavica, in an attempt to convince Serbs that they have no reason to fear the independence of Kosovo.

"Independence will create better economic conditions. Kosovo's independence will not discriminate a certain part of the population or a certain region of the population," stated Pajaziti.

The Interior Affairs Minister also said that he does not know the exact date of the declaration of independence, but according to him, when this happens, all citizens of Kosovo will be provided with security.

"You must understand that we are interested not to have notorious events such as those in March 2004, which were very concerning for us, and the people should not view the increased engagements of the police as a concern that we have information about such movements. On the contrary, we must be prepared in order to prevent activities that will prevent the freedom of citizens," Pajaziti added.
