As the Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaçi has not yet made public the date for declaration of independence, citizens of Kosovo are prepared to celebrate the independence on 17 February.

Independence is expected to be declared tomorrow afternoon by the Kosovo Parliament. Kosovar media published Saturday an unofficial agenda for declaration of independence.

According to this agenda, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi at 10.00 will go from the Government to the Parliament where he will hand over the request to call an urgent parliamentary session. At 11.00 Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi will announce publicly the request to call the urgent parliamentary session.

At 12.00 will gather the Parliament Presidency, at 13.30 the parliamentary groups will meet. At 15.00 will take place the plenary session of Kosovo Parliament; however at the Media Centre in “Grand” hotel in Pristina, starting at 18.00, three Kosovar leaders will address the media with a statement.

At 18.30 will be revealed the Independence Obelisk, in front of the Palace of Youth in Pristina. At 19.00 in the Sports Hall “1 October” will be taking place a concert of Kosovo Philharmonic, however an hour later, 20.00, will be staged a concert in the Pristina main square.

Kosovo President, Fatmir Sejdiu and Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi at 22.50 will address the public. At 23.00 will be launched fireworks from four various locations in Pristina.
