Serbian protesters target U.S. Embassy
The United States said Thursday it will ask the U.N. Security Council to unequivocally condemn attacks on embassies in the Serbian capital that apparently were sparked by Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence.

U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad said he was "outraged" at Thursday's attack on the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade, where masked men set fire to an office, sending flames shooting up the side of the building.

The neighbouring Croatian Embassy also was targeted by the same group of protesters. Smaller groups attacked police posts outside the Turkish and British embassies in another part of the city but were beaten back.

"I'm going to go into the Security Council," Khalilzad said, "and ask for a unanimous statement to be issued expressing the council's outrage, condemning the attack, and also reminding the Serb government of its responsibility to protect diplomatic facilities."

The council was scheduled to meet Thursday afternoon on the Ethiopia-Eritrea border dispute. The U.S. was also expected to formally introduce a resolution that would increase sanctions on Iran for refusing to suspend uranium enrichment.

The attacks on the embassies came four days after Kosovo declared independence from Serbia. The Serbian parliament has declared the action "null and void" but Kosovo's independence has been recognized by the U.S. and a number of European countries.

What neither poster is aware is that the US which sought the destruction of Yugoslavia in the 1990s is trying to finish the job, by illegal backing the 'independence' of Kosovo.
The serbs are rightly incensed at the cavalier attitude to the dismembering of their country, by a govt that had no compunctions in lying to destroy Yugoslavia, then as now.
If the US can bomb other countries under the guise of humanitarian intervention, then the serbs can bomb the US in retaliation
The US has caused this chaos we see unfolding: Imagine if Serbia was to back the 'independence' of Hawaii or alaska? how would the US act?

Good job Serbia! Just continue demonstrating to the whole world how tolerant and multiethnic country you are - by torching and destroying foreign embassies...

If foreign embassies arent safe in Serbia - how could people ever even for a moment consider albanians to let themelves rule by these psychos...

Congratulations all albanian brothers with the independence of Republic of Kosova!!
