EU envoy in Kosovo, Peter Feith and Kosovo Prime Minister, , Hashim Thaçi, stated Friday in a meeting that country’s territorial integrity is protected, invulnerable, unique and indivisible.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, said on Friday that every inch of the territory of Kosovo, including the north, is protected and controlled by KFOR peacekeeping troops, local and UNMIK police.

He made these remarks following the meeting with the mayors of Kosovo municipalities, from who requested speeding-up preparations for the donors conference, which is expected to take place by the end of May or beginning of June this year.

Thaçi urged to continue maintaining the calm and security in Kosovo, including the northern Mitrovica, for which he said ‘is under full control of NATO authorities, local security authorities and UNMIK Police.

“I can confirm that every inch of Kosovo’s territory is protected and under control. Now it is claimed from you to work with an increased intensity to provide more qualitative services for the citizens’ of Kosovo”, he said.

Thaçi thanked the mayors for the dignifying celebrations of the Day of Independence of Kosova, meanwhile urged speeding-up the preparations for the donors conference on Kosovo.

“Kosovo’s authorities must be prepared at least two months ahead of this conference. We will not tolerate any delay in preparation and presentation of projects”, Prime Minister Thaçi pointed out.

Minister of Local Administration, Sadri Ferati said they have already established contacts with donors such as the European Commission, Norwegian Office and USAID Mission. He acknowledged that there are some donors interested to finance the municipalities with projects.
