![]() The Netherlands recognizes Kosovo The Netherlands did not immediately recognize Kosovo; The Hague said it would wait until it had assurances that the cultural and political rights of the Serb minority will be respected. The Dutch foreign minister says he's satisfied on these points. Earlier Tuesday, Sweden also announced it has recognized Kosovo's independence. Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and the United States recognized Kosovo soon after it declared independence.

... This is a fantastic news. Thank you the Kingdom of Netherlands! And God bless your people! |

... The news leaves out a couple of little details, first, the Netherlands does not recognize Kosovo, the Kingdom of the Netherlands does (which means that the Carribean constituent countries of the Kingdom had their say too), as the first session of the government of the Kingdom after the declaration of independence was on the last day of February, the Dutch recognition seems to be coming as soon as "constitutionally" possible, with the weekend and all stuff in between, the Dutchies have recognized Kosovo as soon as they could. |
