Determined over Kosovo
“After the decision to hold early parliamentary elections in Kosovo and to form the new government, Serbs in Kosovo and other citizens that are loyal to Serbia should not be concerned,” Samardjic was quoted as saying.
Samardjic also said that Kosovo Serbs and other citizens of Kosovo will participate in elections organized by Belgrade. “This democratic act will take place in Kosovo as a part of Serbia, and we will show that Kosovo is an inseparable part of Serbia,” he added.
Kosovo Serb leader Rada Trajkovic said she believed the fall of the government will make the position of the Serbs in the province more difficult. The vice-president of the Serb National Council for central Kosovo says that “now Serbs who live in Kosovo will not have an address to go to in Belgrade.” She added that the situation was made more difficult because a political body representing the Serbs in the province has not been formed. “Still, a policy that was not united and that strategically differed could not have survived. Such policy confused the international community,” Trajkovic said.
