![]() Czechs to recognise Kosovo "I will not disclose the date. Now we have a sort of Christmas fast for major political decisions. I think you will learn more after Easter," Vondra said, adding that the Czech Republic was realistic when it comes to Kosovo's recognition. Kosovo declared independence from Serbia on February 17. It has been recognised by 16 EU members as well as the USA, while Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Russia, China and Slovakia are opposed to the idea as they face problems with ethnic minorities. The divisive issue has brought about a recent fall of the Serbian governing coalition. There will be early elections in Serbia on May 11.

... . Serbs just occupied Kosova during the rise of the Serbian nationalism early 20th century from Ottomans, who by then were loosing the Balkans after 500 years of occupation. The borders of Kosova are well established and recognized. Now Kosova should be Free! http://www.hartford-hwp.com/archives/62/094.html I can’t comprehend how a minority of 7% of the population, pretend to take off the land, the language, culture and the life of the rest of Kosova. Kosovars have the right to live free and independent in their land where they are born, generation after generation, live and will die. |
