![]() Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary to recognize Kosovo
“Kosovo declaration of independence follows all the failed attempts of the international community to find an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina for the Kosovo status. Under these circumstances, the change of the untenable status-quo was inevitable,” states the declaration of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
In the joint statement published at the same time in Sofia, Zagreb and Budapest, the three states bordering Serbia have said that they support the strengthening of the relations between Serbia and the EU and that they expect the continuation of good neighborly relations with Serbia and strong traditional links with its people. Kosovo so far has been recognized by 33 states, 18 of which are EU members and all 7 members of the group of most industrialized countries, G7.
