![]() UNMIK According to high diplomatic official sources from UN Headquarters in New York this mission will be the successor of UNMIK and will be named, most probably, “the United Nations Office in Pristina”. According to the same source, starting June 15 UNMIK will have its big turn and will announce its gradual shutdown. Similar statements were made yesterday by Paul Acda in Prishtina, head of UNMIK’s Pillar IV which deals with the economy and is supported by the European Commission. According to Acda, “Pillar IV will start closing down on June 1 and by July 1 only a small team will remain behind to deal with the liquidation of different equipment.” In the latest regular report on Kosovo issued last weeks, UN Secretary General stated that UNMIK would adapt to the new reality in Kosovo but did not go into details.

... Hmm... , Im a little sceptical about this but lets wait and see, as for the comments above , Kosovo does need to be part of the UN , and that is the most important thing actually |

... There's no need for us to be part of un, nor can we actually. The best thing to do right now is to enforce rule of law, education (freakin' lack of education) and defense of our country. |
