![]() Macedonia is to hold early elections in June Political analysists believe this delay will not serve good neighborly relations between the two countries, while Albanian citizens of Macedonia on the other hand are demanding that elections be conditioned with recognition of Kosovo's independence. Government spokesperson Ivica Bocevski repeated today that Macedonia's Government does not have a new stance with regards to recognizing Kosovo. Albanian citizens have demanded from the Albanian political parties to sign a common platform to be delivered to Prime Minister Gruevski, asking the government to recognize Kosovo's independence before parliamentary elections take place. Regarding border demarcation talks, officials from the Macedonian Foreign Ministry said today that the joint Macedonian-Albanian commission would meet next week in Skopje, Macedonia's capital.
