![]() No to recognition, yes to partnership with Kosovo
“The stance of our country remains unchanged. Kosovo’s final status
resolution didn’t come from the UNSC as Slovakia had engaged for. But
this doesn’t affect us in reflecting new realities, and therefore I am
here to confirm our partnership, and to let you know that we are aiming
to assist Kosovo in the field of the economy, as well as other
aspects”, dailies quoted Kubis as saying.
On the other hand, Kosovo’s President Fatmir Sejdiu, after the meeting with Kubis, said that he had asked for Slovakia to make a decision to recognize Kosovo faster, by understanding the practical will of the citizens of Kosovo, dailies read.

... Also Thanks to Russia, China, India, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, the Vatican and the host of other countries who have refused to accept this illegal declaration, and who have chosen not to go down the criminal path. |

... Spain and Slovakia have reiterated their opposition to Kosovo’s secession on Tuesday. Thank you Spain and Slovakia |

... This is ironic. One the one hand, you have a government that says they will not recognize Kosovo, but on the other wants diplomatic relations, and to help develop its economy, etc. See, if Slovakia didn't recognize Kosovo as independent, it will still be talking to Belgrade, and not Pristina. Perhaps they just don't want to offend Belgrade. |
