Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi said that Kosovo aims at gaining membership into the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in the course of this year.

“At present we have 60 per cent of the votes in the International Monetary Fund, although 51 per cent are needed for membership,” he said. With regards to applying for a UN seat, Kuçi said Kosovo institutions will act based on the dynamics of recognitions of independence.
