Liberia recognizes Kosovo

Liberia recognized Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, reported today Liberia’s Daily Observer.

Liberia becomes the 42nd state to recognize the Republic of Kosovo. A country of 3 million, Liberia was established in 1847 by African slaves set free in the United States. After Senegal and Burkina Faso, Liberia is the third African country to recognize Kosovo. Others on the list of 42 include the United States, most of the European Union and NATO countries, and the majority of world's full democracies.

Although Kosovo is majority Muslim, recognition has been slow among the Islamic countries with only Afghanistan to have completed the process so far. Malaysia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have indicated that they are working towards the same goal. Recognition by the 57 members of the Organization of Islamic Conference is crucial if Kosovo is to achieve its stated goal of securing the support of 97 UN members - half of the total - by September.

@liberia? haha , funny how blind people like you can be. Indonesia maybe against Kosovo’s Independence, however just to upset you a bit with this reality check, Kosova has been recognized by USA, UK, France, Germany and more countries that are million times more powerful than Indonesia.

Wait, if I now get what you are trying to say, then doesn't your country see these mulsim countries as terrorist nations. Because I know, your so called leaders, yes the serbian leaders, have been trying to convince the world that Albanians are terrorists, just because of the muslim religion. Pathetic, it is still funny how still a nation like Serbia has the support of the muslim nations, matter of fact any nation in the world.

Most Muslims countries like Indonesia,(the largest Muslim country in the world) are firmly against kosovo's illegal declaration, and are all for supporting Serbia and the rule of law
