![]() Sierra Leone Recognizes Kosovo Sierra Leone becomes the 43nd state to recognize the Republic of Kosovo. A country of 5 million with a total area of 71,740 sq km located in West Africa, Sierra Leone became independent in 1961 from the United Kingdom. Sierra Leone is a member of the Organization of the Islamic Conference and the African Union. After Senegal, Burkina Faso and Liberia, Sierra Leone is the fourth African country to recognize the Republic of Kosovo.

New Kosovar Report you need to get your sources better. The RKT source you have used has been taken off their site. This is not true, Sierra Leone has not recognised Kosovo. I got in contact with their High Commission in London and they said that they are still reviewing the situation. Also they said they have not got a clue why Kosovo media is saying that Sierra Leone has recognised Kosovo, because they haven't. However I do hope that Sierra Leone recognises Kosovo soon though. |

Sierra Leone? Hasn't that country been ravaged by civil war? Isnt it athird world country. One of the poorest in Africa?? Sierra Leone would do anything, and accept anything if the the Americans throw them some begging money. Most Muslims countries like Indonesia,(the largest Muslim country in the world) are firmly against kosovo's illegal declaration, and are all for supporting Serbia and the rule of law. Just remember that Kosovo Still IS Serbian, and ALWAYS WILL BE! |
