Kosovo papers report that police have apprehended the suspect who fired at KPS police officers wounding KPS member, Enver Pllana. Papers add that the suspect, Predrag Djordjevic is member of a Serbia terrorist group known as Czar Lazar Guard.
Papers report that there were two other ‘suspicious’ incidents on Saturday night in Mitrovica, namely when unknown persons hoisted a Serb flag on top of a town’s mosque and the second when a person of Serbian ethnicity was detained by the police because he tried to forcefully enter the Serb Orthodox church located in the south part of the town.

First of all, my dear bluerose799, in Preševo valley there are no KOSOVARS. In Preševo valley live ALBANIANS. Same thing goes for Kosovo. Term KOSOVAR could be used - just maybe - only if you want to address to all ethnic communities who live in Kosovo. But, since the Kosovo's Serbs don't want to be addressed to as a Kosovars (same goes for Romas, Montenegrans, Macedonians, Gorans, Turks, Bosniaks, Ashkalis etc.) , 'cause they don't want to have anything with Albanian government in Prishtina, (beacuse they are very affraid of them) - term KOSOVAR is definitely passé. It could be used just for the purpose of confusing the issue. Secondly - I completely agree with you. Kosovo Serbs should have exactly the same rights as Preševo valley Albanians. Unfortunately - that is not an issue. Unlike Preševo valley Albanians - who are free to exercise all their rights (right to speak their mothe-tongue,free education, free healtcare etc.), especially the right to live and move freely, Kosovo's Serbs still live in enclaves and getthoes, surrounded by barbed wire, and protected by heavily armed KFOR soldiers 24/7. That is the reallity of today's "multiethnic" Kosovo. The Day when Kosovo Serbs could walk freely through the center of Prishtina, without fear of someone beating them up just because they speak their mother tongue, will be the day when you and I could say that things started to go in the good direction. Alas! I fear, however, that day is far, far, far away from today. If it ever comes. |

Does someone have to say more about how Albanians treat Serbs, especially ethnic Serbs in Kosovo? After the statment made by "DomiNation" (what a nick!), one post below, does anyone have any illusion that Albanians want to live in peace with Serbs? |

If you want to talk about terrorism, you must shaw a little bit more objectivness. Serbian King wasn't killed by a Serb, but by a Bulgarian terrorist: "The assassin Vlado Chernozemski — driver of the leader of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization Ivan Mihailov and an experienced marksman — was cut down by the sword of a mounted French policeman, then beaten by the crowd. By the time he was removed from the scene, he was already dead. The IMRO was a Bulgarian political organization that fought for annexing Macedonia to Bulgaria using terrorist means. The organization worked in alliance with the Croatian fascist group led by Ante Pavelic (Ustashas), under the secret sponsorship of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini". If you want to know more about the subject, here is the address: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_I_of_Yugoslavia Second: You are right - Princip did kill Austor-Hungarian heir to the throne (not empire), but it wasn't Serbia who started the war. It was Austo-Hungaria. And it lost it. And third: you are right - Serb terrorists killed mr.Djindjic, but they were arrested soon after and sentenced to the more then 500 years in prison. And finally - you said to try to match that. Hm, let me think... How about assasination of mr.Olof Palme, Sewdish prime-minister? Not good enough? Let me try one more time... What about assasinations of Indira and Rajeev Gandhi? Maybe assasination of Anwar el Sadat? And perhaps, God forbid, assasinations of mr.J.F.Kennedy and his brother Robert? Well, I know that all those terrorist acts won't be good enough for you - since, obviously, you are common Albanian propagandists. Only thing that could satisfy you would probably be an annihilation of all Serbs. But, it doesn't matter. If you or anybody else really want to know a little bit more about real threat of terrorism today in the Balkans, I could recommend following text: http://www.analyst-network.com/article.php?art_id=2197 |

The Serbian terrorist tradition can boast about murdering a Serbian king, the Austrian heir to an empire --starting a world war-- and a Serbian prime minister. Try and match that. |

Disarming Serbia, the Balkans will be a much better place to live. Till then, the Serbian terrorism has to be contained with counter-terrorist measures. |

IMO fighting terror with terror is a non-effective way to solve the problems. Better go to the root. |

It is the time to create Alfa police force of Kosova, and Kosova special police force. To realize this, you don’t need to work hard. Just take a look at Macedonia and copy them. alfa police mvr swat team http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E57GaC8Co_Y MACEDONIA - Special Forces http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6U0R3AnAnTQ&feature=related Macedonian special police forces in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqbErapPt1c&feature=related |

Serbian terrorism in the Balkans is nothing new. If you wish, you can read more about Serb terrorists at this link: http://www.geocities.com/serb_terrorism/ . Hopefully one day, the Balkans will be free from the Serbian terrorists. We all want peace, but we also all want an end to Serbia's terrorism in the Balkans. |
