Regarding the issue of Kosovo, he added that "regrettably there was no readiness on either side for an agreed solution, so what followed was a declaration of independence by Kosovo."
"Many important member states of the EU and the international community as a whole have already recognized Kosovo so I do not believe that any serious person would like the wheel of history to go back," said the Montenegrin Prime Minister.
He emphasized that Montenegro is dedicated to build a healthy relationship with both Kosovo and Serbia, adding that "we should help to reconcile communities rather than feed fuel to the fire."
"Nevertheless, recognition of Kosovo independence is inevitable", concluded the Prime Minister of Montenegro.

... This was to be expected after a government was eventually formed in Serbia. The Montenegrins know that the success of Kosovar independence is in the interest of their country, and the Serbian challenge to the borders of 1945 has been a menace to all. |
