Chief of United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) legal office, Alexander Borg-Olivier, ended his service in Kosovo on 30 June, concluding his eight year career in the country.
Maltese jurist came to work at UNMIK in 2000. Through his hands passed every regulation approved in Kosovo, and other legal matters. Known by his nickname “Aborg” by his colleagues at UNMIK, he was also involved in the legal aspects of privatization in Kosovo.
Borg-Olivier is considered to be the longest serving international at UNMIK.

... @Ian, Helloooooo, UNMIK is packing and going home. Why do you think Borg Olivier is leaving after 8 years - there is nothing else to be done by UNMIK in Kosovo anymore. Kosova has its own government and constitution now, and new EU mission is stepping in also. |
