From 14 July to 1 August will be organized the Third Edition of the Summer University in Prishtina (UP), organized by the University of Prishtina and Dutch organization for academic training SPARK.
Summer University of Prishtina is the largest international project
which attempts to increase the internationalization of Kosovo’s largest
public university and to contribute to the development of education in
Kosovo, says the director for foreign relation at the University of
Prishtina, Jehona Lushtaku.
“The main goal will remain the increase of internationalization of UP, support of the reforms within, and the introduction of new teaching and lecturing methodologies,” says Lushaku, adding that this year new courses will be offered, all in English, by 15 international professors.
“We are offering a rich academic program in the social sciences, law, economy, journalism, archeology, engineering, agriculture, and physical education,” says Lushaku.
The budget this year is 250,000 euros, and attending will be 400 local and international students. European Union's Stability Pact program has awarded 75 scholarships for students from Albania, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Serbia.
