Thaçi encouraged all the displaced persons that wished to return to Kosovo that a prosperous future awaits them. Thaçi said that a part of the funds promised at the Donors’ Conference in Brussels will be used to carry out projects for the return of minorities and their integration in society.

Representative of the European Union in Kosovo and Chief of EULEX, Yves de Kermabo, asked local Serbs to have trust in his mission and in the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

One of the Serb returnees in Klina, Ratko Periq, asked for support from the Kosovo institutions. He said that his son with family and some relatives have expressed the desire to return, but require better life conditions to do this.

Thaçi said that the government, with all its capabilities, will continue to build houses of Serbs that want to return. He stressed that the state of Kosovo must be built on the European vision and never on that of the past.
