During an interview for Radio Kosova, German Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo, Hans Dieter Steinbach, has noted that it is imperative that the Government of Kosovo be capable of keeping the situation under control using modest language and retaining a moderate stance against the provocations that occurred after the declaration of independence.
This fact has strengthened the perspective of the country. "The stance of the Kosovo Government has won the admiration of the world and among us in Germany," said the German Ambassador.
Steinbach also noted the dedication of the German government to continue assisting the Republic of Kosovo as it builds its economy and democratic insitutions, adding that "Germany will continue supporting Kosovo in the process of receiving more recognitions of its independence from other nations."
Meanwhile, regarding the challenges that Kosovo is expected to deal with ahead, Steinbach noted the economy issue.
"We know that Kosovo has never been developed and it is starting to build its economy from the ground up and certainly, this is going to take some time. There are various economic issues and no one expects to see a magic wand fixing things over night. Besides, we must not forget that this is a newborn nation," added the German Ambassador.
The German Ambassador also stressed the Government's plan to continue to pursue a strategy of luring more investors to offer more jobs.
