Germany joins the list of recognizers of Kosovo passports PDF Print E-mail

ImageGermany is the latest country to have recognized Kosovo passports. The news was announced yesterday by the Republic of Kosovo Internal Affairs Ministry.
 
According to the announcement from the German Federal Interior Ministry, this country has accepted Kosovo travel passport as well as official and diplomatic passports of the Republic of Kosovo.

The recognition in advance of the travel passports of the Republic of Kosovo was done at the same time as when the first passports were issued, is stated in the official notification of the Federal Interior Ministry of Germany sent to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Government of Republic of Kosovo.

Other countries to have recognized the new Republic of Kosovo passports are Sweden, Turkey, Switzerland, United States, Croatia, Slovenia, Albania, Macedonia, and Montenegro. Macedonia and Montenegro have done so although they are still in the process of recognizing the country itself.
