Residents of Krushe e Madhe of Rahovec municipality, 242 boys and men of which were massacred by Serbian police and army units, asked Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu to help them find the disappeared persons. The village welcomed Sejdiu with hope that after the visit he will make efforts to find and return the bodies still in Serbia.
“We have always made efforts and will try to find people. Results are not great though. About two thousand people are missing in Kosovo,” Sejdiu said, accusing Serbia of trying to avoid handing over the people killed during the conflict in 1999 whose bodies were then removed to Serbia to hide the crimes from international justice.
Nine years ago, residents of Krushe e Madhe witnessed the tragedy carried out by the Serbian regime. In massacres committed on 25, 26 and 27 of March 1999, Serbian police and army executed and burnt indiscriminately 242 men and boys there in retaliation for the NATO bombing of Serbia.

... And I trust that the EU will tell the government of Serbia that it must establish the whereabouts of the bodies if it wants to carry on moving towards accession |
