Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo, Jakup Krasniqi, who is visiting the United States, has been conducting an intensive diplomatic agenda, meeting ambassadors and personalities of many world countries.

 

 

During the meeting with ambassadors and high officials of many countries, Kosovar Parliament Speaker Krasniqi emphasized the “Kosovo Government's commitment to protect and integrate all minorities, particularly Serb minority, into Kosovo institutions. Whereas Serbia, with its destructive policies through continues support of illegal parallel structures is attempting to destabilize Kosovo.”

 

Kosovar Parliament Speaker Krasniqi in a cordial meeting with Ambassador of Haiti to the US, Raymond Joseph, was informed that "Haitian government is in the process of recognition of Kosovo independence."

 

Krasniqi in a “special and pleasant meeting with Niger Ambassador to the United States, Toure Maigu, discussed the current events in Kosovo, and the Kosovo government efforts to integrate Serb minority into Kosovar institutions.”  

 

Speaking of the continuously stubborn attempts of Serbia Government to destabilize the newly-born nation of the Republic of Kosovo, Krasniqi said that "these destructive policies instilled by Serbia, are not only against the stability in Kosovo, but also anti-regional, anti-European because these very policies pursued by Serbia instill destabilization of all integration processes that develop in Europe."  

 

Krasniqi handed a copy of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo to Niger Ambassador to the US, Toure Magiu, asking her to call for her government to recognize independence of Kosovo.

 

Niger Ambassador Toure thanked Kosovar Parliament Speaker Krasniqi for all the information stressing that she will inform the Niger government and the president of her country about the political developments in Kosovo.

 

Krasniqi also met with the President of the National Democratic Institute, Kenneth Vollack, and its director, Robert Benjamin.
During the US Democratic National Convention Krasniqi met with former Foreign Minister of Germany, Joschka Fischer, and Ambassadors of Turkey and Montenegro to Washington D.C.

 

Krasniqi also met with many US congressmen and senators and is expected meet many other important political personalities during the week, informs the Press Office of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo.
