Head of the Islamic community of believers in Kosovo Grand Mufti Naim Tërnava announced that five Persian Gulf countries will recognize Kosovo during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which has started today.
Tërnava expects the process to start with Saudi Arabia and continue
with the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain. Tërnava is
cited by the Prishtina daily Zëri saying that there are strong
indications that the five Gulf states will be followed by Jordan.
These expectations Tërnava is basing on the frequent contacts he has had with representatives of these countries.
