UN: Don't compare Kosovo to anything PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 01 September 2008
ImageUnited Nations has denied comparisons of Kosovo with the two Georgian provinces.

Spokesperson of the General Secretary of the UN, Michele Montas, has stated that the two situations are different and comparisons don't stand.

"I think that you should compare the two situations. The history of the two situations is different and this has been stressed several times," said Ban Ki-Moon spokesperson.

She confirmed once again the continuation of the UNMIK reconfiguration in Kosovo despite there not being an agreement among the United Nations Security Council members.
