"This is a decision of the Serb government, for which there are many
reasons," said Obradovic for Serb media, without specifying what those
are.
Many of the Albanians in South Serbia are university trained in nearby Kosovo, which will pose significant problems for their employment in a region which already has the highest levels of unemployment in Serbia. Commenting on the declarations of the only ethnic-Albanian deputy at Serbia’s Parliament, Riza Halimi, who has strongly objected to these decisions by the Serb government, Obradovic responded curtly: "If Riza Halimi doesn't like this decision - it's his problem." Days ago Halimi stated that the latest decision of Serb government to not recognize diplomas issued by the University of Prishtina and the shutting down of the local Presheva television have been planned earlier to raise the political temperature in Presheva. Serb Education Minister Zarko Obradovic has repeated the stance of the Serb Government not to recognize diplomas issued by the University of Prishtina, which are endorsed by the UN Mission in Kosovo. "This is a decision of the Serb government, for which there are many reasons," said Obradovic for Serb media, without specifying what those are. ... while i live in canada, i have run into people whose international diplomas were not accepted, as well as situations where internal diplomas were not accepted. just because somebody can produce a really proper piece of paper with an official seal, that does not mean that the diploma is worth any more than that lovely paper it was printed on. infact in the good-ole-u-s-of-a, there are a numer of fraudulent accedemic institutions that sell diplomas. maybe some of these reasons could be applied. at the end of the day, just like in the us, just like in the eu, the peoples who wish to use the diplomas may have to move to a place where they will be accepted, or they will be able to find employment. this is the world that the kosovars need to realize they're living in. maybe they should try to find work with their friends. the us and the eu would certainly be more than happy to accept these diplomas and offer lucrative employment for all those that wish it. after all, they are the ones that are supporting kosovo. its no longer serbia that has to carry that burden |

... They are doing the same thing as they did in Kosovo, by trying to stop Albanians from getting education, now they are shutting down the local tv station in Presheva as they did with Prishtina TV. Then they say we didn't do anything wrong, you (Albanians) were the problem makers and bla bla. This country still deserves to get punished. |
