Kosovo minister meets Czech business leader

Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo, Lufti Zharku, yesterday met with the representative of the Albanian-Czech United Commerce Chamber in Prague, Miroslav Sindelar, with whom he discussed the investment potential that Kosovo offers to Czech businesses and the potential for partnership of Kosovar and Czech business establishments.

Minister Zharku informed the representative of Czech business about conditions and investing potential in Kosovo, regulatory environment, improvements in the infrastructure, favorable conditions for investing in agriculture, and other potential economic aspects that Kosovo can offer to foreign investors.

During the meeting they discussed the trade policies of Kosovo as well as the lowering of taxes. Minister Zharku urged Sindelar to encourage Czech institutions and businesses to invest in Kosovo.

Zharku also announced that the government is considering the institutional and business rationalization for holding a conference in the Czech Republic as part of the awareness campaign Kosovo is planning for several countries.
