The two-day Conference of the European Center for the Development of Western Balkans deals with aid and development for the states of Western Balkans.

On Wednesday during a joint press conference with the Slovenian State Minister Žiga Turk, Limaj said that Kosovo welcomes foreign investments so Slovenian businesses should utilize their advantages in the Kosovo market.

Limaj said that Kosovo has attained noticeable progress in the fields of transport and telecommunications.

"Because the current and ensuing periods are deemed fundamental for the prospect of euro-integration, special attention is being paid to the construction, development and upkeep of the transport and telecommunication network, as a crucial link of human communication, economic cohesion and stable social evolution," stated Limaj during the conference. 

Minister Limaj said that the Government of Kosovo supports strongly the notion that transport infrastructure is a precondition for the overall economic development of our country, and for functional integration with the regional and international transport infrastructure.

The official visit of Minister Fatmir Limaj in Slovenia is being conducted with the invitation of the Slovenian State Minister Žiga Turk, Economic Chamber of Slovenia and the Slovenian business giant Tehnopolis. Serbia's representative left the conference early in protest of Kosovo's participation.
