The Alliance of Independent Kosovo Unions (BSPK) has expressed concern on the information of the possible burning of privatization documents at the Kosovo Trust Agency, the group that has handled privatization in Kosovo under UNMIK.

BSPK considers the whole process a failure because "a large number of workers have been removed from work instead of new one being opened."

Although the details are not clear yet, Kosovo Police Service has said it will investigate if any documents from the Kosovo Trust Agency's six year work are found missing.

Kosovo Trust Agency (KTA) was an EU-lead organization that directed the privatization process in Kosovo along with the management of all public and state companies in Kosovo.

It is already certain that all computer hard drives from the period have been wiped out by the outgoing KTA administration.

The members of the board of the Kosovo Privatization Agency, the Kosovo run organization that inherits the role of KTA told the media about the burned archive, complaining that they did not have the necessary documents to proceed with privatization.
