Kosovo Weightlifting Federation, established this June by six Kosovar clubs was admitted at the end of the same month with full rights to the World Weightlifting Federation (IWF) whereas yesterday the European Weightlifting Federation, at their meeting held in Durres, Albania, also accepted this Kosovar sports Federation unanimously.

Thanks to this recognition, the sixteen-year-old Ardian Murati for the first time represented Kosovo internationally in this sport.

Tomorrow Kosovo will be represented by another weightlifter at the European Championship for Juniors being held in Durres, Bashkim Krasniqi.
