Traffic growing at Airport Prishtina

The International Airport Prishtina, Kosovo’s only commercial service airport, announced that it has closed the summer season with record profits and number of passengers.

The number of passengers so far this year was 850,000 whereas net profit during the first eight months EUR 5.4 million.

The net profit year to date is double the EUR 2.7 million for the whole 2007.

The number of passengers and number of flights has grown by 15% compared to last year and seven new airlines have started operating regular and charter flights to Prishtina.

The airport has also worked on opening more check-in desks and in cooperation with the Kosovo Police and Customs Services has opened up more counters to speed up processing.
