The Privatisation Agency of Kosovo has announced the 31st wave of privatization of Socially Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in Kosovo.

Nine new companies (NewCos) have been created and put up for bidding by the Privatisation Agency of Kosovo, which is the new institution that will continue the privatization process in Kosovo headed completely by Kosovars.

The new companies have been created with the essential assets and some limited liabilities of their former Socially Owned Enterprises.

On this wave are a number of retail properties, agricultural land in Klina, Gjakova and Istog, and prime business premises in the industrial zone of Prishtina.

A production company, NewCo Jugoterm International L.L.C located in the Gjilan region, which manufactures panel and tubular steel radiators for central heating systems will be tendered by special spin-off.

Pre-qualification deadline is 12 November 2008 and bidding deadline is 19 November 2008.
