Jung said that Germany supports the implementation of EULEX and KFOR peacekeeping force. A rotating unit of the German and Austrian KFOR troops began a scheduled deployment to northern Kosovo this week, which has now become common for that part of Kosovo. KFOR said that the goal is for its troops to become familiar with the area. "We are against the division of Kosovo. We support a united Kosovo and on this basis we have supported the Ahtisaari plan, and paid special attention to the rights of communities, especially the Serb one," stated Jung.
He
expressed his belief that the EULEX mission will cover the whole
territory of Kosovo, despite the current obstacles displayed with the
opposition of local Serbs, who are supported diplomatically by Belgrade
and Moscow.
