UNMIK spokesperson Alexander Ivanko denied reports that UN envoy Andrew Ladley has suggested the administrative division of Kosovo.

“The UN envoy does not suggest anything. He only delivers the document whereas it depends on Prishtina and Belgrade whether they will agree with it. We only consult them; we are trying to help with dialogue, but we are not part of the dialogue,” Ivanko said to Serb media.

Ladley has been in the region since 15 October with the goal of intermediating the Prishtina-Belgrade dialogue, although the two parties have yet to meet and two of Ladley’s discussion points would violate the Kosovo constitution and the Ahtisaari Plan.

Kosovo Government has said that it is willing to discuss with Serbia issues of mutual interest as two independent states.
