Croatia opens its Embassy in Kosovo
By the decision of the President of the Republic of Croatia from 21 October 2008, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Kosovo was established, seated in Prishtina and headed by the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary.

The Croatian Government reached the decision to recognize the Republic of Kosovo as a sovereign and independent country on 19 March 2008, while the diplomatic relations were established on 30 June 2008.

Until now, communication took place through the Liaison Office of the Republic of Croatia in Prishtina.

Kosovo and Croatia have strong political and economical relations. Croatia is the second independent republic and Kosovo is the seventh independent republic to come out of Tito’s Yugoslavia.

52 countries have recognized Kosovo's independence so far and my others are in the process to follow.
