ImagePeaceful Demonstration in Prishtina on 19th November at 12:00. Organized by: Lëvizja VETËVENDOSJE!, Çohu, Thirrjet e Nënave, Rrjeti i Grupit të Grave të Kosovës, Rrjeti Rinor i Kosovës, Aksioni Qytetar FOL'08, CBM-Mitrovicë, Iniciativa për Progres and many other organizations.

Kosovo, undivided and sovereign

Kosovo, declared and internationally accepted as an independent and sovereign country is being threatened in its territory and sovereignty. The Six Points proposed by the UN, modified by Serbia, and accepted by the EU, intend to partition Kosovo into two: about 1/3 of the territory will be given to the parallel structures of Serbia, which means under the control of Serbia. These Points reduce the area in which the institutions of Kosovo operate and expands that of the parallel institutions of Serbia in Kosovo in the most important elements of the exercise of state sovereignty, especially in the police, courts and customs. This is unacceptable.

Various organizations which work in Kosovo have joined together to call the people of Kosovo to the streets, to express our disatisfaction and to defend Kosovo as conceived in Article One, Clause One of the constitution of the country. This Article declares the Republic of Kosovo "an independent, sovereign, democratic, unique and indivisible state’ This is a constitutional obligation and Kosovo as such should exist.

Sovereignty comes from the citizens of Kosovo, thus from us. Consequently it is ours and it should serve our interests. Since its privileges are ours, its responsibilities should also be ours. It is our responsibility, and no one else’s, to defend that sovereignty. It is time we make it clear: The people of Kosovo say NO to partition and say NO to more negotiations.

The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo is not negotiable. For every capital issue for Kosovo the people of Kosovo should decide – a referendum is a just mechanism!

In return for the Ahtisaari Plan, Serbia should have to accept the independence and sovereignty of Kosovo. Otherwise it is absurd as a political position to keep the Ahtisaari Plan. The Serbs of Kosovo are citizens of Kosovo, and their rights are guaranteed with international conventions which are recognized completely by the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. The International Community is a partner of Kosovo.

This is our country, of all the citizens of Kosovo, and it is our responsibility. It is absolutely unacceptable that for Kosovo, Belgrade gives permission. The state of Serbia should leave here and never return. The proposal of Serbia for functional partition will incite new partitions in the Balkans.

We call on all the citizens of Kosovo to join us in this demonstration and to oppose in a peaceful manner the Six Points which affect our sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Kosovo.

Make our voice heard!

We must defend the Republic of Kosovo as independent, sovereign, democratic, unique and indivisible!

The demonstration will be held on Wednesday 19th November, and begins at 12:00. It will start from the National Library and will continue along Agim Ramadani street, and later the demonstration will return along Mother Theresa Street to the Kosovo Assembly. The end of the demonstration march is the UNMIK (now EULEX) building.

I'm surprise with EU still negotiating with the Serbian Terrorist. How much spineless EU can you get - backstabing the Albanians over and over, and over again.

Too little, too late! The one thing that is absolutely absurd about Kosova is how pathetic all our leaders are. It could also be that the people in general do not understand what is at stake here otherwise 2 million people would have been on the streets right now.
