The Balkans countries
The eventual implementation of the six-point plan made by Belgrade and proposed by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the EULEX deployment in Kosovo present a risk for Macedonia and other regional countries, possibly enticing a major regional war where ethnic cleansing and genocide could take place.

This is the assessment of the legal and political analysts in Macedonia, Jeton Shasivari and Biljana Vankovska. Shasivari said that elements for the partition of Kosovo and creation of ethnically divided territorial entity stand behind this six-point plan.

The approval of this plan and its implementation in Kosovo could have a very negative impact which would cause a domino effect in Macedonia, Montengro, Presheva Valley in southern Serbia having in mind that there are Albanian dominated regions. “I think that the international politicians who make decisions at the international level should be more aware of these facts. The six-point plan would cause a domino effect. For instance, there is a big part of Albanian dominated territory in Montenegro. There is also Presheva Valley,” the legal expert Jeton Shasivari said.

The professor at the University of Skopje Biljana Vankovska said that the international community should be very careful when dealing with Kosovo. She said that the international community should be committed in building a bridge of cooperation between Kosovar Serbs and Albanians, and not allow Kosovo’s eventual division through ethnic lines.

Meanwhile, the BDI deputy leader Rafis Aliti said that his political party strongly supports the stance of Kosovo authorities. The acceptance of Ban Ki-moon’s six-point plan would have a negative effect not only for the regional countries but also for other countries around the world. “It is not acceptable to have a double sovereignty in Kosovo is an independent country; therefore, the entire international community should respect this fact,” Aliti said.

Also, Albania Government has warned that six-point plan can destablize the entire region in the southeastern Europe.

it's funny that no body seemed to think that allowing jugoslavia to break up without a dialoug would destabilze the balkan. maybe they did think about it and didn't care, but now it is time to clean up the mess, and by using the same approach used to start the mess the rest of the world has and continues to do a major disservices to the peoples of the balkans.
the only proper way to stabalize the region is to get all the actors together to deal with it. Ofcourse this solutions was and is too simple for the pathetic minds of the western world leaders. Every single drop of blood that fell during the recent wars of the balkans is a result of the west's inappropriate poicies and yet they have turned their backs on the blame that is theirs.
Before anything happened, a simple forcing of discussions would have solved all these problems. Rememember that no one group was forced to meet with the other groups priror to violence, and only one such meeting occured post violence, and we all know the results of the Dayton agreement.
Just like any marriage that has disolved, a unilateral stance never yeilds positive results. These types of actions can only bring about destabizations, and the peoples of the Balkans were forced to go through this hell. Now is the time to adjust the course and reevaluated all the wrong choices and try to repair things as best as possible.
