Minister: government might fall; Opposition: massive protests PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 24 November 2008
ImageRepublic of Kosovo Minister of Transportation and Telecommunication warned on a Friday program on KTV that “current insitutions' existence would not have meaning if the six-point plan is implemented."

Fatmir Limaj, who is the second most popular politician in the Kosovo government, is the first to warn about the survivability of the current government if UN General-Secretary's six-point plan, which was initially devised in Serbia, is forced on the Kosovo government.

Meanwhile Vetëvendosje! Movement leader Albin Kurti called on the government to oppose the imposition by actively stopping the implementation of the six-point plan on the ground.

The network of organizations that organized last Wednesday's demonstration have said they are preparing even more massive demonstrations to cover all of Kosovo and with the largest ones to take place in Prishtina and Mitrovica.

UN General-Secretary might give the go ahead on Wednesday to the six-point plan, despite the Kosovo Government saying it would violate the constitution and previous agreements reached between Kosovo and its international partners in exchange for generous rights granted to the Serb minority.
