Six-point plan foments armed conflict
Kosovo neighbors categorically rejected tendencies for the division of Kosovo, as represented by the six-point plan presented by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic said that a division ofKosovo would cause a domino effect in the region which would not helpthe regional stability. "The division of Kosovo along ethnic lines is aburied plan," said Djukanovic, after a visit to Tirana, where he metwith Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha.

Prime Minister Sali Berisha expressed his disapproval of the six pointsfor the implementation of EULEX in Kosovo. "The plan has seriousproblems, since it favors a soft partition of Kosovo," said Berisha.

Whereas Croatian President and veteran ex-Yugoslav politician andPresident Stipe Mesic said Serbia is looking for a new war in theBalkans. "The division of Kosovo based on Serb appetite is a dream ofSerbia, which reminds us the epoch of Milosevic dictatorship. And if itreally happens as Belgrade intends, this means a step backwards. Itmeans the realization of the dream of Great Serbia," said Mesic for TopChannel TV.

"We should not forget the Albanians of Presheva, Bujanoc, and Medvegja, then the minorities in Serbia and Vojvodina, and those in Macedonia,"said Mesic.

Mesic warned that Serbian proposals might provoke new bloody conflicts in the Balkans.

Of war warned also Pandeli Majko, Prime Minister of Albania during theKosovo war. "A division of Kosovo according to the six-point plan ofthe UN and Belgrade would bring an armed conflict to the wholeBalkans," warned Majko during a two-hour TV appearance on the topic.
