McCormack: US respects Kosovo as a sovereign state PDF Print E-mail

ImageThe United Stastes is working closely with European Union regarding the deployment of EULEX in the Repubic of Kosovo, said the spokesman of the US State Department, Sean McCormack, during a regular press conference yesterday where the main topic was the deployment of the EU mission in Kosovo.
 
Asked regarding the concerns of Kosovar Albanians regarding the UN plan on EULEX mission, McCormack said that "no one is turing the clock backwards here and Kosovo is sovereign and independent country."

McCormarck said that "the US will continue to assist Kosovo to develop its sovereign and democratic institutions."

The Republic of Kosovo is a country in the southeastern Europe.
