Kosovo PM met Estonian counterpart |

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met on Monday with the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Estonia, Andrus Ansip.
Prime Minister Thaçi and Prime Minister Ansup discussed cooperation between Kosovo and Estonia and the developments in the region.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi expressed his gratitude and respect in thename of the people of Kosovo and the Government of the Republic ofKosovo for the recognition of Kosovo by the Republic of Estonia, as anindependent, sovereign and democratic state.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Thaçi expressed his gratitude to theRepublic of Estonia for its contribution in the context of its KFORpresence in Kosovo and for its important role in protecting peace andstability in general.
The experience of the Republic of Estonia in the process of integrationinto NATO and the EU was also discussed in the meeting. During themeeting, Prime Minister Thaçi re-emphasized that the goal and vision ofKosovo, as a state, is in the near future to be part of NATO and the EU.
Prime Minister Thaçi informed Prime Minister Ansup about thedevelopments in Kosovo and expressed the position of the Government ofthe Republic of Kosovo for the need to build bilateral relationsbetween Kosovo and Estonia. The Prime Minister of Kosovo heralded thestart of cooperation, specifically in the sector of informationtechnology, between the Republic of Kosovo and Estonia.
“Estonia is an example to the world for the application of informationtechnology and I want to believe that Kosovo, in the near future, will,in this sector, set a positive example for the region,” said PrimeMinister Hashim Thaçi.
The Estonian Prime Minister, Andrus Ansup, expressed his satisfactionwith his visit to Kosovo and stated that the European future of Kosovois indisputable and the Government of Estonia is ready to cooperatewith Kosovo in order to help along this process.
