US VP Biden and PM Thaçi meeting in February
The second in command in the American Administration, Vice President Biden is reported to be visiting Kosovo and other Balkan countries in the 2nd half of May, between 17 and 21. According to RTK, Kosovo will be the first country the U.S. Vice President to visit where he will began his Balkan tour.

During a recent meeting with Kosovo's neighboring country's leadership, Albania PM Berisha, American VP Biden briefly mentioned his intention to visit Tirana in the near future.
Vice President Biden has already met with the Republic of Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi and Foreign Minister Skënder Hyseni in the White House, during the visit that these three Kosovar high officials had in Washington D.C., in earlier this year, where they were also hosted by the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other high American administration officials.

Vice President Biden and Secretary Clinton have been amongst the strongest advocates of the liberation and independence of Kosovo. In their recent visit in Europe, they both called on the European Union to show stronger commitment to Kosovo as the newborn nation works on strengthening its statehood institutions to open the path for a Euro-Atlantic integration.
