Head of EC Liaison Office, Renzo Daviddi, signed the agreement for the opening of the first EU i in Kosovo today with the European Library located at the National and University Library of Kosovo. The European Commission, in co-operation with the EU Office of Publications, will provide the EU i with a wide range of free-of-charge documentation.

The agreement in Kosovo will help the host structure promote and consolidate teaching and research in the field of EU policies, make information on the EU and its policies available to the public, and participate in the debate on the European Union.

Renzo Daviddi, head of the office of the EU Commission in Kosovo, has called Fridays agreement an important source of information on how things work in the European Union.

"Literature will be available to show the standards that the European Union seeks and affirms, " expressed Daviddi. He also clarified that Kosovo is a part of the European map, but no possible time specification can be expected for Kosovo to also become formally part of this coalition. "It could be in five years, or in ten years, or perhaps even more, " said the cheerful, outspoken Daviddi when giving a message out regarding the question of the integration process in the European Union. Daviddi further adds that, " The integration of the Kosovar society into the European Union is a great possibility, but this will have to be followed with concrete actions that are met with achieving standards the EU requires."

Beqe Cufaj has estimated that the presence of European Union in Kosovo have no term limit. According to him, the continuing goal of the European mission is noble and constructive for the society of Kosovo. "I have said earlier that the only mission whose stay is permanent is the mission of the European Union Liaison Office, " says Cufaj.
