| Remusica - International Festival of Prishtina opens in Kosovo |

The fifteen minute performance of Icare Ubi Es composed by Rafet Rudi, the coir of the Philharmonic-Opera of Kosovo, mezzo-soprano Merita Juniku, followed by the frequent applause of the public, yesterday opened The 8th Edition of the International Festival of Prishtina - Remusica.
The official opening of the international festival was followed by a brief speech from the Mayor of Prishtina, Isa Mustafa who highly commended the contribution of the festival for promoting the musical art of Kosovar music composers.
"We consider this festival not only as important for Prishtina, but also for Kosovo, therefore we are honored to host the Festival this year," said Mayor Mustafa. The other part of the time was accommodated for the world's famous Kosovar guitarist, Petrit Çeku, who performed a recital concert. For over one hour, Çeku performed musical works of famous composers, such as, Prelude Fugue&Allegro BWV 998 of Johan Sebastian Bach, Frand - aguillo of Joaquin Turinas, Decameron Negro of Leo Brower. The Audience that was gathered at Red Hall of the Youth Palace applauded several times the genius performance of Çeku. The second night (May 22 at 1930) at the Red Hall at the Youth Center will be the musical performance, a recital concert of the famous French cellist Ophelia Gaillard. The concert will include operas from famous composers such as Beffa, Bartholomee, Lutoslawski, Britten, Berio, Dutilleux, Zeqiri, Bach. The International Festival of Prishtina - Remusica is open from May 21 thru May 28.
