EULEX should be held accountable

  • PDF

Approximately 25 EULEX cars were thrown upside down today by activists of Lëvizjes VETËVENDOSJE!. This action opposed the presence of EULEX in Kosova, and all its activities in and for our country, including the protocol which EULEX is going to sign with Serbia, for cooperation with the criminal police of this criminal state. It is not just about the Protocol. The expected Protocol is just the latest symptom. EULEX is the sickness. EULEX calls upon the rule of law, but its members, together with their families, are immune from the law; EULEX calls upon supporting Kosovo’s institutions to which it doesn’t give any account, and has executive power over them!

The Kosovo Police, including the Special Police units, intervened violently during today’s action, when 21 activists of the Movement were arrested. This police intervention injured the activist Skender Blakaj from Burim, who was sent to the emergency clinic at the hospital, where the police are waiting to arrest him. Activists of the movement, Dardan Molliqaj and Fatmir Haziri were beaten badly by the police on the road to the police station, and inside it. Fatmir Haziri was beaten by police officer number 8062. Activist Kujtim Kosumi was also beaten by police officer 8676, and activist Salih Mehmeti by police officer number 8272. Some activists, including Dardan Molliqaj and Naser Shatri were threatened with personal consequences after their release, with words like, “When you get out, you have to deal with us…” These are the police of Kosova which say they work to protect the rights of the people of Kosova, yet are ready for official and unofficial confrontation to protect the property of a mission which was placed above these police, and clearly and with determination is opening the path to Serbia’s extension inside Kosova.

Serbia accepted UNMIK only when UNMIK did not accept Kosova as a state, but as part of Serbia, through Resolution 1244. EULEX was accepted by Serbia only when it promised that it would come to Kosova with Resolution 1244 and be ‘neutral toward status’, and thus, against the independence of our country. EULEX, by its presence, its mandate and mission, exists in Kosova like UNMIK: in agreement with Serbia. Its existence had to pass through Serbia’s approval. EULEX has Serbia as its partner in cooperation, while Kosova’s institutions are being treated as a submissive tool, to achieve their goals.

The main problem is not that Hashim Thaçi and Fatmir Sejdiu are submissive toward EULEX. The issue is that they are submissive willingly. They profit personally from their submission, which they are doing in the name of Kosova. They have chosen the fulfillment of personal interests through corruption, instead of fulfilling Kosova’s interests, through self-determination. They like this submissive position and they find pleasure in this position.

EULEX is deepening its cooperation with Serbia, at Kosova’s expense. The latest step in this direction is the police Protocol EULEX-Serbia. In this protocol, the Kosova-Serbia border is called the ‘administrative boundary’ and not an international border. This is not even neutrality – this is what Serbia calls our border. Therefore, as EULEX was produced by Serbia, their jeeps, with EULEX registration plates, are in reality black jeeps with the plates 000 BG, which today, we threw upside down. Just as the political system which EULEX is maintaining in Kosova should be turned upside down.

Below are the names of the activists arrested:
Salih Zyba, Ramadan Veliu, Naser Shatri, Frashër Krasniqi, Dardan Molliqaj, Kujtim Kosumi, Salih Mehmeti, Fatmir Haziri, Asdren Peci, Arbër Nuredini, Kasim Uka, Bujar Voca, Rron Gjinovci, Faruk Daka, Skënder Mërtyri, Flamur Arifi, Pajtim Demaj, Lirim Gashi, Fatmir Kurti, Kushtrim Zeqiri, Arbër Vokrri, Skender Blakaj

Eulex should be in kosova only for one reason and that is:
To help kosova's government to strengthen the rule of law. basicaly to help modernize the country.
The Eulex that we see is not a positive force for Albanian interests. So, down with Eulex.
the worst fears that i had about Kosova are becoming a reality. The USA and EU are betrying Albanian people.
they never had our interests at heart but their regional gjeopolitical, energy plans.
America should come in and eulex, the french and greeks to f..ck off.

ACTIONS OF N.A.T.O CONTINGENT, IN FRENCH SECTOR AT NORTH MITROVICA, SPEAK LOUDER THEN WORDS, AND ACTIONS OF EULEX.
http://www.nytimes.com/2000/02...etreat.ht
Why Serbian stone American and German troops, but French troops remain unmolested?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosovska_Mitrovica
Before the 1999 Kosovo War, Mitrovica municipality had a population estimated by the OSCE to comprise some 116,500 people, 81% of them Kosovo Albanian, 10% Serb and the remainder other nationalities (notably Roma). Most of the non-Albanians lived in the town of Mitrovica, which had a population of 68,000 – 71% Kosovo Albanian, with approximately 9,000 Serbs and 10,141 other nationalities. Kosovo Albanians lived throughout the city, but most Serbs lived in the north side, divided from the predominantly Albanian south side by the Ibar River.
The occupying French troops and the Chetnik marauders (Serbian Paramilitaries), began a forced modification of the region's ethnic composition as early as spring of 1999 through the expulsion, intimidation, beating, mutilation and execution of Dardanian people.

Many on the Albanian side say they were thrown out of their homes on the Serb side during the Kosovo conflict and have been prevented by both Serbs and the French from returning.
'It's not just Serbia that won't let them in,' said Halit Barani of the ethnic Albanian Council for the Defence of Human Rights and Freedom. 'It's the French soldiers that won't.'

This is the way that “UNMIK” AND French Troops treat, and humiliate peaceful and helpless Dardanian, who wants to go back at their homes at North Mitrovica.
HOW COULD BE SUPPORTED, THE BORDERS THAT DOESN’T EXIST.
While CONTROLED by strong 7000 French Troops and 10000 well-armed Serbian Paramilitaries, the borders of North Kosova cannot be supported, protected or recognized. Instead protecting Dardanian from the Serb genocide, in silence and complicity with Serbian Nation, they eradicated Dardanian, and replaced them with more than 70000 Serbian colons, and De facto and De juro, partitioned this area from Kosova.
Ironically as result of tremendous pressure by Serbia and France, Kosova is disarmed having only 2600 light-armed police force, not enough to take care for the safety of business, and not for the borders of the New Born Nation.
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8100
Is there a borderline and where is this borderline between Serbia and Kosovo?
Does Kosova is able to enforce this borderline?
Recognition of independence is unjustified if it does not result in new state institutions that are ... able to enforce legislation over the whole territory...
It is legitimate rights of any nation to ENFORCE LEGISLATION OVER THE WHOLE TERRITORY.
THIS IS THE LEGITIMATE RIGHTS OF KOSOVA REPUBLIC, KOSOVA NATION, KOSOVA’S GOVERNMENT AND ALL KOSOVAR PEOPLE.
THOSE LEGITIMATE RIGHTS ARE DENIED BY, NORTH KOSOVA N.A.T.O TROOPS, AND EULEX.
IN FACT THE SERB GENOCIDE IS GOING ON IN FULL SCALE IN NORTH KOSOVA, IRRADICATING DARDANIAN KOSOVARS.
The people of Kosova will protest and fight up to the end for their rights. The violent actions are out of the table, but the fight is the only way to Unite the Nation.
KOSOVARS, burning cars you are going nowhere, just overthrowing yourself. You need to petition and peacefully protest in big numbers, not tens of thousands but millions. Not only once, but continuously till you win. You need to know the rules. There are the rules:
EULEX and KOSOVA government has to:
guarantee the citizens' legitimate right to make petitions, the revised regulation stipulates in the chapter of general principle that "No organization or individual is allowed to retaliate petitioners; the offender will be held to account for his deed."
KOSOVARS has to know:
The regulation says petitioners who blockade government departments, interrupt transportation, carry hazardous objects, insult or beat officials, or cheat money through organizing petitions, will be punished according to law.
“BASHKOHUNI KOSOVAR”
“PA DALLIM FEJE, KRAHINE DHE IDEJE”
“NE FRONT TE PERBASHKET”
“NE LUFTE KUNDER GENOCIDIT SERB”
“ÇOHUNI TE GJITHE”
“SE ME KOHA NUK PRET”

Although I mostly agree with you Krylos, I also disagree.

First, thank God that people were not threatened or violently hurt. Simple cars mean nothing when it comes to life itself. Compassion for humans surpass those of objects. The message clearly demonstrates not to hurt people. Correct me if I am wrong. :)

I strongly believe that the tongue can be as sharp as a sword. Although, that is not always the case. Even a simple plea or a cry for self right and self "determination" through a speech is not heard. You might want to think, who is disrespecting whom in here first? The agreement between EULEX and Belgrade is like a slap in the face to Kosovo. It's like trying to say that Kosovo is not a country. Is it a country if it can't decide for itself, but rather have it's neighbor decide instead? So, unfortunately, EULEX and Serbia do not wish to "discuss" things rationally.

If the world sees the actions of a small group and bases the whole country on that group, that screams nothing more than ignorance on their part. Perhaps they should try to see things on a broader perspective.

Violence and destruction of property will do nothing to help you reach your political objectives, whatever those may be. Actions like this only serve to damage your credibility. During any protest there is bound to be an air of tension. While I don't condone destruction of property, I could certainly understand things getting out of hand and one or two cars tipped over... but 25 cars? Get real and get a life! Do you really expect to gain respect for your movement while blatantly disrespecting others? The true measure of a democratic society is the ability to realize that we will not always agree on all points, but that we can discuss things rationally. The world is watching, and I am afraid the world is seeing the actions of a small group of people tainting the image of an entire country.

EULEX is not the problem. The real problem, are those who control NORTH KOSOVA. First you have to take them OUT, or SWAP their sector with the German Sector, and after turn toward EULEX. To do so you have to fight hard, united and without any COMPROMISE.
