On the 11 and 12 September 2009 in the Sharr Hotel premises in Prevalla of Prizren a seminar was held: “MKSF/KSF, a professional and multiethnic force, opportunities and challenges”, organized by the MKSF Community Affairs Office with the Donation of the Norwegian Government.
Participants to the seminar were: Minister of KSF Mr. Fehmi Mujota, Head of NATO Advisors Mr. Alistair Corbett, NATO Advisor to the MKSF Community Affairs Office Mrs. Ingjerd Kroken, Mr. Habit Haredinaj Head of the Office of Good Governance at the Prime Minister’s Office, Directors of Municipal Directorates/Offices for Community Affairs from several Kosovo Municipalities as well as Heads of the Departments and Directorates of MKSF.
Seminar was opened by the Minister Fehmi Mujota who congratulated for the good work done so far by the MKSF Community Affairs Office. In his remarks Minister Mujota outlined proper solutions provided by the Constitution of Kosovo and Laws on community rights with an advanced standard.
He outlined the good results that the MKSF achieved in this aspect, by being careful all the time on the presence of minority communities in the MKSF and KSF structure. Current level was evaluated as satisfactorily with the tendency of increasing in other recruitment processes with higher number of communities.
During the seminar, from the presentations and discussions of participants, desirable results were achieved which would be useful for the future.
In this seminar there was an exchange of experiences related to minority communities, possible approaches were identified for a successful recruitment process of minority communities in the KSF especially for getting Serb community members closer. Useful conclusions were drawn from this seminar for the new recruitment phase that would be useful especially for the media campaign which would help in the recruitment of new members from minority community.
Minister Mujota as a sign of gratitude for a successful work and unsparing commitment of the MKSF, NATO Advisor Mrs. Ingjerd Kroken who is leaving, awarded a thankfulness letter on behalf of the Republic of KOsovo by thanking her and Norwegian Government personally.
