In the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport of the Republic of Kosovo and the German Archaeological Institute, on Wedndesday was signed the  Memorandum of Cooperation, which includes: geophysical analysis of Ulpiana and surrounding area, standard systematic study of terrain, including measures for analysis through the database, the site of Ulpiana excavations where it is necessary to understand the structure of geophysical analysis, scientific analysis of discoveries and structures, the publication of scientific results through cooperation, public affirmation of Ulpiana location in order to increase the general awareness of European cultural heritage, etc.

This Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the chairman of the Cultural Heritage Division in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports,Burbuqe Bakija - Deva and director of the German Archaeological Institute, Mr. Friederich Lüth. The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Valton Beqiri and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo, Mr. Hans Dieter - Steinbach.

In this case, Valton Beqiri Minister said that the signing of this memorandum will intensify cooperation between Kosovo and Germany, adding that, "with his experience and long tradition of research - scientific of the German Archaeological Institute will help support further development and of the Kosovar archeology."

Meanwhile, Ambassador Hans Dieter - Steinbach, expressing his satisfaction for the signing of this memorandum, said that, "with various archaeological expeditions and his professional commitment, the Archaeological Institute of Germany will help Kosovo in this important field not only in the archaeological context but also financially."
