Kosovo PM: Report confirms European perspective

The Republic of Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi has received today the EU Comission's Progress Report of 2009 and a Feasibility Study for Kosovo, which on behalf of the European Commission was handed over by the Chief of the Liaison Office of EU in Prishtina, Renzo Daviddi.

Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi at the meeting reiterated the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo institutions to deepen commitments for implementation of all standards for integration into the European Union institutions and NATO, said in a statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Thaci said "the Progress Report and Feasibility Study for Kosovo confirm clear European perspective of Kosovo. In this context, Prime Minister Thaci said that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will only increase its commitment to good governance, transparent, effective, rule of law and order, the uncompromising fight against corruption and organized crime ."

Further promotion of the progress achieved in Kosovo and overcoming challenges on the road towards European integration will remain the main commitments of the government and all institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, stated Prime Minister Thaçi.
