In a visit of Kosovar Minister of Economy and Finances, Mr. Ahmet Shala and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Austria, Mr. Sabri Kiqmari to the Austrian Ministry of Finances, representatives of both countries have agreed to start negotiations for the investment protection treaty and the double-taxation treaty.
The Austrian State Secretary in the Ministry of Finances, Mr. Reinhold Lopatka has stated that Austria is very much interested in strengthening economic relations with Kosovo. He has also promised that Austria will continue its support for the integration of the Republic of Kosovo in all international financial mechanisms.
The Kosovar Minister has called upon Austrian companies to use the opportunities and capital projects in Kosovo and invest there. He said that the Austrian state will guarantee investments in Kosovo
