Following the unveiling of the statue, former U.S. President Clinton once again thanked the country's leaders and people of Kosovo, saying that he feels privileged that a statue of him has been built while he is alive.

He also stated that he discussed with his wife, U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, who has told him that she will come and will take a picture next to the statue.

"I should take a picture in front of the statue' she said," Clinton added.

Clinton also expressed gratitude remembering those after the Kosovo war who have contributed to the establishment of Kosovar state. He thanked NATO, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Wesley Clark, former President George Bush and former Secretary Condoleezza Rice.

"And I assure you that the current administration headed by President Obama and Hillary Clinton Secretary will help you to build the future", he said.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Thaci promised he will build a magnificent square around the statue.

"The statue is your statue that belongs to all citizens of Kosovo because you are a hero of the people of my country," Thaci said.
